Picked up a few mags at the gun show today. Want to confirm what I bought/how to ID them.

Snagged a top loader drum for $75. The drum has a "n" with a 3 digit number by the loader arm. I'm thinking Russian? How do I ID this? I have no idea what it is actually worth.

Snagged a pile of slab sided mags too at $10 a pop. Loaded in cosmolene, some even wrapped in a waxxy paper. I assume these are also Russian. How do I ID and date these? Also no idea what those are worth.

Best way to get the cosmolene out?

I desire to sell. These will go into the collection to be enjoyed and used. Just want to figure out what exactly I bought.

Back when I was getting mags 3 for 9 bucks and gas was a buck I would throw them in a bucket of gas and swish around.

You got a great score for 2024!

Slab sided mags are worth around 100 each.  Btw I'd leave them in cosmo and keep the wrappers... collector value.

Gas is expensive these days!

I'm thinking of dropping them in the toaster oven or ultrasonic to get the cosmo out. Only a couple are completely packed.

One was in the wrapper, the rest were in newspaper.

I don't care about collector value. I have no intentions to sell them. I bought mags to shoot them. I was going to buy the EGs for $10 but saw those instead. I'll enjoy them and when I can't enjoy them any longer I'll give them to someone who can.
