looks ergonomic and something you'd see on a Tarkov rifle.
I'll wait for feedback. |

Went back to add a couple of the base plates that make the grip into storage, e-mailed them about it and they replied in like 2 minutes and gave us free shipping on the extra parts. Credit where it's due, I found these from a pic of a rifle on another site, was looking at them and wanting to buy bad, but i've been over budget on purchasing things lately and I didn't need new grips. Wife comes in and looks over my shoulder and mentions that i've been complaining about wanting something like these for a long time, I told her I was gonna pass due to budget concerns, and she went in the other room and ordered 'em for me anyway, lol, then ordered the base plates next day. She's a hella good woman man, i'm a lucky guy. |

Looking around online, it seems to have just been released last week, you might be one of the first people to have one.

I don't know whether he meant this last Saturday or the one before. Normally I shy away from guinea-pigging new products, but this one had my name written all over it and I reckon it's my turn anyway, lol. Just never had a firearm fit my hand like CZ's and clones do, fell in love with 'em first time I put my hand on one back in the early 90's. |

Just a quick update: Received my grips and i'm blown away, review inbound soon, probably going to do the AR grip review first then the AK grip. Did take a little fitting but results are spectacular, and communicating with the company over some tiny fitment issues and they are awesome and open-minded and welcome the feedback. Stay tuned.

It looks like a mildly retarded MOE K2 grip inspired by the grip angle of a Hi Point carbine

I have to say, it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would from the stand alone pics once it's on a rifle. When it comes to my guns (and my cars) I've always been a form over function guy. I know function is more important, but sometimes I just can't.

View Quote I get it, i'm the same way about a bunch of things, to be honest I can't stand vertical foregrips, I hate they way they look on a rifle, hate it, the spoil the lines of it. But on an AK they seriously make for better shooting. AR handguards and rails have gotten so skinny I could take 'em off, I just use a handstop if anything these days. But you'd have to have even larger than my XL hands to get a thumbover hold on an AK, so I use a VFG. Everybody's different, aesthetics vary wildly, seems to me us AK guys are especially ornery and picky about some things. Did a short review already on the AR versions, with a couple of pics on one of my rifles if anyone's interested: https://www.ar15.com/forums/AR-15/Driven-Arms-CZ-Shadow-Crossover-grip-for-the-AR-15/118-786142/ |

How is the material? Is it rubbery or plasticy?

Pretty interesting looking grip. Think I may need to try one out. It's great that they are being responsive on feedback to improve as well.

View Quote They really are, got an e-mail today from Bret and they're dealing with the T-nut issue ASAP. Small operation, but sometimes that's a real advantage, they can shift gears fast. I like dealing with these smaller companies, they are always ready to listen, CNCW, TWS, Stormwerkz etc. |

I received mine a few days ago I had to wait for another product from mk machine but I was installing on a m90 and had to fit also and it came with an AR screw. The only thing that I don't like is the way it's tapered at the top my thumb bone drives into the receiver like no other grip on an AK does it is truly getting painful. I'm trying to figure a way to make it work because everything else feels really good in hand but this one aspect is killing it.

I'm trying to figure a way to make it work because everything else feels really good in hand but this one aspect is killing it. View Quote Exactly the kind of feedback they need, not having the thumb issue myself but will pass it along, I do feel like it should be longer and possibly a little more offset from the receiver and have mentioned that to them, the AR grip is perfection in my hand but it has that beavertail at the rear that lets my hand seek a more comfortable position. I have given them links to this thread and others, and they have re-designed it based on feedback and i'll be getting a new model to test in a couple weeks or so. Would it be better a little longer and with a little more flair at the top? That's kinda my thinking. An AR screw? Will definitely mention that, mine came with the correct screw. Just got an in-stock notification on a couple different AR grips that i'm gonna try, but i'm also lobbying for a more compact AK grip. They're a super small company into experimentation so they're very open to feedback and suggestion, this is their first AK grip so it may take some work to get it right, i'm trying to help them perfect that so any and all input, good or bad, especially with measurements and pics would be helpful. ETA: Welcome to arfcom man! |

When worked out, or at least at a good point, I would be interested in trying one out

As i've mentioned, these guys are eager for feedback and can re-design in a heartbeat, and that's the attitude we need to get better products. Personally I think it needs to be a tad longer, and i'd like a little more angle correction, like maybe 12-13 degrees or so, but that's me, I hate wrist pronation. YMMV. |

demise? I'm here, daily. Lurking, waiting to pounce on misspelled their, there, or they're, or to describe the difference between a 90 and 45 gas block, or any other nuance, such as how 5.45 > 7.62x39.

Got an e-mail today, new design is proto'ed, and have a tracking number for a test piece should arrive next week sometime (hopefully, I live in BFE and it takes a while).
Will update once I have it in hand and test/measure. Offer stands, this is a freebie model for testing purposes, once i'm done with it, i'll be happy to pass along for just the cost of shipping if others want to test. Also got an order of a couple AR grips from them, crazy cool stuff, the vert x-over grip and the Ultra Light Compact grip for AR's, wife loves that ULCG, now she wants one for AK's and I am lobbying hard to get one made! |
