Firing full auto with VCOG on backwards and lens cover closed. RAS not secured on. If I remember correctly blame is on the ships armorer. Guys are not supposed to mess with the guns after they draw from armory. This is where regs are stupid. |

So, full pressure 5.56mm ammo. |

Mine is a 10.5" that I got years ago. It has become a test bed for a lot of stuff. This configuration is very popular when I take it to work. Last week two guys said they were going to buy uppers with a FSB. They like the old school look. And it just works. In messing around in my parts box, I found a Colt side sling adapter. And I do have some M4 hand guards. Who knows what may happen. |

Question: I bought a KAC legacy 300 meter rear folding sight from Tacswap from a legit seller (listing here). I've had several of these over the years but noticed the rail clamp on this one is wider than it is tall vs. height and width being pretty much identical on all the others. I believe the rail clamp is the same one used across the 99051 and 97082 sights. Anyone know if KAC varied the size of the rail clamp over the years? Everything else seems to be on point though I recall a more audible "click" when flipping the sight up for use. Here's a stock photo for comparison and you can see the clamp is more of a square vs. a rectangle. |
|
|
[#45]
Yes. The wider clamp is the older one IIRC.

I would say both are correct. Got issued the first KAC 300 in the lated 90s. Last ones I received for issued were in 21/22'. Think I have one still in wrapper in parts bin. I'll check next week when I get back there.
