Hey all,
Been on the hunt for a round that has reliable expansion out of a 10.5" barrel at further distances, that is affordable enough to stack deep. Federal Fusion MSR 62gr, Hornady Black Interlock 75gr, Barnes TSX, and others are all rounds I've seen verified expansion at lower velocities, but all are very pricey to stack at all. Is there anything that is say, sub .85cpr that is reliable, accurate, with a low expansion floor? |

What a chart. Definitely will be keeping that handy.
Anyone know if any of the rounds listed there with lower expansion floors have commonly used “clone” load data? I only reload 9mm today, but it may be time to start rolling my own 5.56/.223. |

Gold Dot / Fusion are available, not insanely priced, and no matter who you ask, their in the top 3 performance-wise.
It's really a no contest debate to me. Really depends how much you want to spend to "stack deep". |

I have about 500 rounds of Federal BONDED 55 GR TRU stuck back for my defensive rifles. I train with M193.
Zero with the bonded and stack the appropriate grain in ball to train with. On silhouette targets i have not noticed any issues out to 400 yards Once gold dots are more readily available I will switch to 75 grains. I will add that at self defense distances I have no trouble making accurate shots with 55, 62, 75, 77 grain loads all with the M193 zero. |

The TMK is THE bullet but it's not as cheap as you're wanting.
If you wanted barrier blindness I would choose GD/fusion. The 73gr ELD loads are likely a decent alternative to the TMKs when they're not available, but there isn't much of a price difference. Personally I would probably try the AAC black tip in the 75gr variety if I had a hard limit on price/round. |

I literally have never found a gun that would put them in under 2.5moa reliably. This is 1 Hodge, 1 DDM4, and one KAC. All of which will shoot 1.4-1.75moa 10 shot groups with MK262 if I do my part, on demand. |

The 62gr Fusion and 62gr GD are the same bullet now. |

I have yet to see an actual test on the ACC saber blade but the type of projectile it uses doesn’t inspire confidence in any of the 3 weights meeting the minimum penetration requirements. |
