So I'm an M&P guy. I have a Response rifle, it's ok for a hunk of polymer but want something else.
Is this a good way of building a PCC that takes M&P mags? See links below.
I don't need anything super expensive as it's just a plinker.
I already have a couple of AR lowers laying around.

Thank you for the help.

Customers keep trying to talk me into adding a Ruger PC adapter for M&P.

Stern's adapter is universal for P320 and M&P. Although the catch is in the same place on them, I highly doubt that LRBHO can work. The ledge for it is not in the same place between the two types of followers. I suppose you could buy one and then tinker with it until you make it work.

P.S. S&W FPC takes M&P magazines.

As does the KelTec SUB-2000 Gen 2 MultiMag.

I built a AR9 SBR with the Sterns M&P, and I'm really happy with it.  The lower was already SBRd, so I wanted to avoid getting a new dedicated lower.  You just tweak the hold open arm to work with your magazines, it was pretty straightforward and works great.

I built my 9mm ar with that Sterns defense adapter.

The lower was a psa with Anderson lower parts kit.

Upper was also Anderson with 16” faxon barrel and bolt.

Both mp and p320 mags  run fine in it .  Zero issues with hollow points fmj swc or tc

I just picked up S&Ws FPC (the folding carbine, not the Response) and I'm liking it a lot.

With my Sub2k I put up with a lot of it's issues like trigger & ergonomics for the folding capability, the FPC would be a fine carbine even if it didn't fold.

Although the Sub is still quite a bit smaller & lighter than the FPC so a Sub can share a laptop case with a laptop or fit in a backpack without taking up all the space, while the side folding FPC is pretty thick.

If you're looking for an AR pattern, the Stern adaptors have a pretty good rep. I had several different 9mmARs but eventually let em go, just too big & heavy compared to my other PCCs.
