Remove this flash hider?

I'd like to take the flash hider off, but it looks pinned? Whats the trick? Just grind it down to the threads, drill the pin, or what? Never done it before but I'm capable, just don't know the process. Attached File Attached File

The weld will need removed. An end mill cutter is the best option. A std twist bit will work also.

Center punch the weld, drill slightly oversized. Once you have drilled to depth, fixture in a vise. Using a wrench, rotate the MD slightly back/forth with the pin at the 6 o clock position while tapping the MD with a hammer. The pin should drop free.

It can also be done with a cut off wheel, but it can be messy.
