TNVC completed the 2023 training season with our Nightfighter 101 at The Clinton House Plantation in Clinton, SC on November 4-5.  We were excited to return to this venue--the hosts are amazing and the facility is incredible.  If you can get there for a class or event, we highly recommend it!  They do all sorts of events and training in Clinton and the ranges are top notch.



The weather was just about perfect.  Very comfortable temperatures, and almost completely opposite of this same class last year.  We fought high temps and humidity last year, and this time I think we might have had a couple of cold students.  But all in all, it was a great way to finish our completely dry TNVC fall training season--a first!



We saw a wide spread of night vision devices in this class.  Everything from green PVS14s to white phosphor binoculars.  No student complained of being under-equipped, we were able to complete all the drills with little difficulty.  

We had 0 issues with the technology in the class.



There were some minor gear issues that were quickly corrected--that is why you come to a class: to get those reps that you cannot replicate on your own and in an unfamiliar environment.  While our POI and tempo of the class is not record-breaking fast, there is enough happening that if you have gear that is on the threshold of failing you, it might happen.  There was nothing too catastrophic, just some tightening of screws or replacing of batteries to fix them.

We had little issues with the guns in the course.  1-2 minor malfunctions that were corrected by the students.  It was a rare course in that we had 2 SCAR16s in the class--first time in a long time we have seen one, let alone two.  They ran just fine.



Our 2024 schedule is out and live on the website.  We will return to The Clinton House twice next year for both the Try Before You Buy and Nightfighter 101.  It is a great venue for us to train at, and we will be there for years to come.
