Location and Time
Saturday May 18h  Starting at 10:00 ending Sunday May 19th 4:00

Google Maps coordinates 39.3669785, -105.2461592

This year we will be combing our land nav course with a fieldcraft course designed as prep for the Warfighter Challenge the following weekend.
Topics covered will include Land Navigation, Entrenchment, Obstacle negotiation, and more.
Required Equipment
-Lensatic or orienting style compass
-1:25 Map Protractor
-Map Pens
-Map Will be provided

Saturday we will be covering the basics of land nav, and set off to find points individually in the afternoon.  At dusk we will set off to find 3 further points at night.
Sunday starting at 10 we will cover the basics of obstacle negotiation, This will include building a rope bridge, Swiss seats, and “a” frame construction.
It is CRUCIAL that you RSVP for this even if you would like to find points.  They take some time to set up and we would prefer to not have to set up points that no one will be looking for.
Email ([email protected]), IM me or respond to this thread if you are interested.  Also bring your nods if you have them.  We will have options for a night hike an potentially more.

I assume this is Sat the 18th  and Sun the 19th? Rather than fri/sat the 17/18.

I will have to clarify as we have out of country visitors around then. Is just the Sunday an option? Depending upon scheduling 1 day is a lot easier to make, and I've done the land nav before (although maybe this time I will get a good compass).

You are correct.... on all counts.

Sunday on its own is just fine.

In for both days.

Need help with setup or anything? PM me or txt. whatever.

This "in" is tentative on the pending eviction of our new tenant from my wife's body

A squatter?

I would really love to- Buffalo Creek is my old stompin grounds from when I was in the Forest Service.
I don’t think y’all want to do a MedEvac class as well though…

Congrats on the Bambino and thanks for keeping up with the legislative side

@Notcalifornialegal

I should be good for both days, and around for any setup. Assuming I shake the bug the kids brought back from school the plan is to get there Friday night, I can get a lift into the mountains and camp near by. Then wander back home myself, but I'm watching the rain currently forcast sunday afternoon onwards incase it gets worse.

We did have it this weekend.

Date in the OP was entered by mistake. My apologies on that.
