I remember accidentally wandering into Atlantic Beach when I first moved to SC back in '93. I'd never heard of AB but it took me about 10 seconds to realize I was in the wrong neighborhood. More like Mogadishu Beach.

Now keep in mind never on Memorial Day week when the black bike week takes place. But we never noticed anything different than any other beach area in North Myrtle. If anything, less crowded because everyone thinks it’s still the black peoples area it was in the 50’s and ‘60’s. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there any time of the year except bike weekend. Yes, both bike weekends and anywhere in NMB. Don’t care to hear all that loud pipes shit for a solid week. |

It isn't the black people you need to worry about. It is the white addicts that rent from the black people. The town is absolute garbage. NMB doesn't want it. You risk having your vehicle broken into. However, it is a quiet beach. |
