I’ve heard about a new range complex in the Hoptown area. What’s the scoop?

Glory Guns in Hopkinsville is building a range near Hoptown but I don't know if it's open yet. They've mentioned it on their radio spots.

I asked my source and she said that’s them and they hope to be open by end of the month.

I was at the shop today. They are hoping to have it running in "two weeks". It's northeast of Hopkinsville. If you do a triangle from Kirkmansville, Fearsville, and Allegre it's right about the center of that triangle. Pistol range, rifle range, long range out to 1500yds. Nobody had asked about 50bmg or full auto so they hadn't thought about it. 😁

I don't think so. It isn't open to the public and they are still working on insurance. But again, I don't know. It could have been at Gun Monkey. That's 200yds and north of Hoptown.

The video I watched of the place there was some FA fire going on. I also heard they wanted to do camping and something like the old Jungle Walk up at KCR.

I hope you're right. The dude told me one of the guys had a shell holder 50 up there too but that was pre-insurance policy. We'll have to wait and see what the unwashed masses are allowed.

@C_Swimm I talked to the owner today. This is the place where Tenet Group has been shooting and conducting training.
The owner said 2 or 3 weeks. They were setting posts on the pistol range today. Full auto was a soft maybe. He doesn't want it during busy times when there are lots of civilians there but during less busy time it's not off the table. Fifty cal. looks like a no-go There is no public camping but it could change for events. The Jungle Walk thing is a nighttime run-n-gun bowling pin massacre. But he said there are 4 miles of trails so who knows. I'm sure he would be open to suggestions if it isn't too crazy. No 400 pounds of tannerite with burning cars and exploding propane tanks. Ah, the good old days 😪. |

Thanks for the update. Will be good to have something like this in the area. Will it be all steel targets on the long range or are they going to have cameras or a shot spotter acoustic type system.

I don't know. He talked about steel and maybe adding some vehicles. I'm sure it will evolve as it gets running as a commercial property.
