I'm curious about everyone's training routines so I formulated some very basic questions:

1) How often do you go to the range?
2) How many rounds do you typically fire during a range / training session?
3) Do you always train with your primary carry sidearm?  If not, explain.

Thanks for your time.

My answers are ...

1) I go to the range a minimum of twice a week and often as many as four times.
2) I usually fire a minimum of 50rds of centerfire and usually several hundred rounds of 22LR.
3) Due to current ammo costs I split my training between a primary handgun and Ruger MkIII 22LR.

Currently, I'm probably firing the following on a monthly basis ...

3000-5000rds of 22LR
500-750rds of 9mm or 45ACP
700-800rds of 5.56 NATO
200-300rds of 7.62 NATO

This is a significant decrease in my typical training / shooting as a result of the ammo-cost-escalation / ammo-availability-decreases.   I have depleted ALL my training reserve ammo and am now having to buy ammo to maintain this reduced regimen.  I just scoured the interwebs and found myself nearly clicking "pay now" on $9,187.45 in ammo.  My typical annual ammunition budget has been $15,000 but at the current prices I have two choices:

A) Decrease my training and therefore lose some of my proficiency;
B) Increase my budget (which I feel is VERY generous to begin with) and sacrifice in another area of my life (namely retirement investing ... which right now is no different than lighting cash on fire and watching it burn).

I did not place the $9k order as I am wondering what impact the MidTerm election results will have on all of this inflation we are experiencing (not just in ammo).

ETA: I lucked into 16,000rds of 22LR recently, but I'm down to about 6k now.  That won't last through August (maybe a week or two into September).

Had been going twice a week for a long time (one day handgun and one day handgun with AR or bolt action or muzzleloader) but then lost that shooting area.  Now is once a week, perhaps 150 rounds of 9mm.

That is still a respectable commitment!  150rds a week will keep you proficient.

I'm able to go to the range at least twice a month. I would say at least 200 rounds of 9mm every time I go. What keeps me busy is how often I dry fire. That mantis x is the cost of a case of ammo and so far I have over 3800 shots on it so its already paid for itself. I have noticed a huge improvement on my groups and draw time. This tool really has helped when I wanna train but family duties call and I get 20 minutes to myself.

Every week, occasionally twice. I'll usually shoot several hundred 22's and focus on fundamentals like grip, trigger pull, etc. And I'll shoot 100-150 centerfire of some flavor as well. I've got a holster for my TX22 so I can get holster and red dot practice in on the cheap.

I try get range practice weekly, but sometimes end up training others more than practicing myself.  Typically will shoot at least 100 rounds.  Prefer at least 300.  Avoid shooting more than 500 rounds per day as I feel diminishing returns.

It's easier, cheaper, and more convenient to do regular dryfire or airsoft in the backyard.  50 trigger pulls is minimal sustainment.  I like to do about 400 per practice session.

I mostly train with my primary, sometimes with backups.  Also get lots of rounds through my .22 pistols (Mark IV and M&P 22) and silenced HK Tactical.

But I divide my practice between PCC, Carbine, and Rifle... so maybe half my range time is actually pistol.

I have the luxury of a few acres and just step out the back door 1-2 week and pop off 1-2 mags of .22/.223/9mm/30-30 w/e I'm feeling.

I go to the range at least twice a week, and fire around 300 rounds total per week.  I dry fire daily.
