Could someone please help me find a surplus chest rig for my Yugo M70. I would like to keep the price around $20.00 to $40.00 and hold between 4 to 8 AK 47 mags with some other pockets for a cleaning kit and a few medical supplies. I would like something like what Medic-0372, ckrockets, or sureshot45 have. I am planning on modifying it a little with some elastic and/or velcro to suit my personal needs and wants. I will just be using it at the range.
I have already checked out the following places: Centerfire Systems, Red Soldier, Russian Combat Gear, Krebs, Enemy Lines, I.O Inc., Century International, Arsenal Inc., Cheaper Than Dirt, and E Bay. I gave up last night when I was half way though E Bay so I might have missed one. Thank in advance for the help! |

i use that british M-58 or 85 web set from cheaper than dirt. not really for a range rig but for a bug out rig it's great. holds 24 loaded 30rnd mags and still room for other gear. yeah it's heavy as hell but if the need arises it's perfect. for the range i just use a bag.

Last time I checked Centerfire had only camo and I didn't want camo. I ended up getting one from here. I wrote a review on it. I also got a second one and had him customize it a bit. 762Tactical Review |

Scored med pouches for my both my 762Tactical Rigs at the Dallas Gun Show. Trying to get pictures up.

The 762tactical rigs are nice for what they are - I just have no idea where I would get pistol pouches to use on the left side. I already have a holster that I would put on the right side.

Dude, any MOLLE pistol pouch will fit. Colin said he can make you what you need. I have been running Condor Pistol pouches and love them. |

I just picked up a Red Rock Outdoor gear Tac vest at a local Gun show today. $50
Digital woodland camo. Looks just like this leapers model http://www.tactical-store.com/ts-lp-tv-eefaeb.html I haven't tried it with 7.62 mags yet, but I can put 8 AK-74 mags in it. Seems to be fairly well made for the price. |

This and it will work bullets down too(not my cup of tea but some prefer it). ATS triple M4 pouches work too but bullets up only. |

no pics yet but mine is a DCU FLC died dark green with blackhawk strike coupled ar mag pouchs. on my left side front is a 2 cell 4 mag pouch on the rightis a single cell 2 mag pouch for 6 mags total. next to the sincle cell pouych is a green voodoo tactical medical pouch with a blowout kit.next to the blowout kit is a foilage green molle drop leg extenter for the m12 holster. attached to the extender is the m12. this puts my holster low enough to be able to draw my pistol. on the far left side next to the 2 cell mag pouch is a woodland 2 cell 40mm grenagepouch. i sewed the bottoms closed so now its a double magazine pouch for pistol mags!
i have $20 into the flc $33 in the black hawk pouches $20 in the blow out kit $30 into the holster and extender and almost nothing in the grenade pouch. |

DIY modified chinese chest rig

Make wheelies, not war! Well, unless you really have to of course...

While chest rigs and LBDs are hard to beat, I use my Bulgarian 4 mag pouch which holds the reloading stripper clips, oil bottle and stripper clip guide and a modified Chinese chest rig that holds 600 rounds of 5.45x39 and a holster on the side for my 1911. That way if I don't need 600 rounds I just lose the chest rig. If I don't need my pistol I just loose that. This setup also allows for my ALICE pack or MOLLE pack if I want. No need to take off a complicated system when all you want to do is remove one thing.

I use an SOE Microrig. It is awesome. Compact and carries the necessities. I recommend adding their low-profile h harness.

I realize I am in the minority, but I love my Arktis 1602. Sure its lots bigger than a simple chest rig, but I have used it for nearly 3 years and have been very impressed.

The 762 Tactical Chicom Chest Rig in Mirage camo that I ordered. This is the original modernized version of the venerable Chinese/Communist chest rig! It is made from modern materials for added durability. We ditched the small pouches from the original and added Molle compatible webbing so you can ad what you need.
It will hold 6 standard 30 round AK47 or AK 74 Magazines OR 9 standard USGI 30 round M4/AR15 Magazines. ! $49.99 Mirage or Multicam add $5 View Quote www.762tactical.com |
