I never saw them without it being sold out., my phone wouldn’t download it fast enough in the area I was. I too would like to know how many he had.
But I did get one of the 551 sb’s which I find a more desirable variant. Ymmv The only suck part is I need to source a black stock now as I had a green one. |

I only see 551 long barrels on the website. Where do you see 553s?

Damn, I missed out on the 551 short barrels. That is the exact configuration that I’ve been desperately craving, too. How much was he asking, the same $4,700 as the fugly long barrels?

When I bought my SIG 553 last year from JDI there were 15 available. I imagine it was close or the same this go around.
