Picked up a what I thought was a DSA SA58 in a trade today. It is not. Hopefully my yhm phantom fits. Now I need to search for magazines.
Called DSA this morning and found out only the receiver is theirs manufacture in 02/21. ARS thread adapter for 9/16 to 5/8 YHM Phantom and break. Looks like you have some extras, such as the horizontal takedown lever and the extended safety. How’s the trigger weight and reset?

Trigger is crisp no mush and rest seems short. To me it feels better than my M1A Scout squad.

Probably has the DSA upgraded trigger group. “ speed trigger”
The DSA picatinny top cover would be right at home on that thing. |

Looks like it also has a non-bipod cut barrel, an Israeli fwd assist style charging handle,STG58 lever style gas plug, an L1a1 magazine release, sling plate between stock and lower, and a SAW grip. Interesting mix of parts

Yeah the charging Hanse will get changed it serves no purpose because the bolt and carrier are DSA. Who ever built it either didn’t know or thought it looked cool. The gas plug is also DSA. There is an Arizona Response thread adapter and a YHM qd muzzle break which works with yhm phantom. There was a surprise in the SAW grip. There was an extra DSA gas plug to be used with a suppressor. I may remove the muzzle device and put a STG 58 flash hider on it. Also going to remove the carry handle.

Some DSA carriers were cut for the Izzy FA charging handle.
Is that a light barrel or heavy barrel Izzy charging handle? Prob find someone to trade |

Izzy charging handle, STG58 gas plug, might be a metric mixmaster FAL. Are there any stampings on any of the other parts?
