Monkey-man,
Didn't you just build that MKII? I'm curious how well it worked out for you and what you ended up using for internals. IIRC you were looking to buy some off the shelf baffles. I'd love to hear the details of that build if you don't mind sharing. Walker |

Scott, i am thinking very carefully about a setup like that for my 22.45 that i have...i bet it is super light!!!.

I went from a 5.5" bull barrel to this 4.5" Pac-lite, and I shaved 15 oz from the total package! It now weighs 37 oz, and the balance is perfect. It was expensive ($300 with tax) for the Pac-Lite, but I'm glad I spent the money to get it. Now I just need to find a holster for it with the scope...... |

That is nice. Is it a custom job, or can you buy them suppressor and optic ready? |

Here's a good article on the Pac-lite uppers. Pac-lite .22 Bull barrels And here's Tactical Solutions web site; Tactical Solutions |

It came threaded (matching thread protector) and with a pic rail for mounting optics from the factory. The threads are annodized aluminum (wish they were steel) but they should be fine with a little extra care. |

oooh, ouch...that might be a clincher for me....nothing more fundamental than similar materials when it comes to threads. Darn it all to heck too.....well, like you said, maybe with a little extra care it would be ok. |
||
|
Same here. I guess I'll just have to get a factory barrel threaded. |

Who makes a carbon fiber .22 can?
Do they have a website? |
|
|
Can anyone tell me who makes the Carbon fiber .22 can pictured above?
Please???? |

IIRC, the multitalented Monkey-man made that can himself. Unfortunately, he's not in the U.S. of A. |

Explain to me the Passports . . . Are you Mr. Bond? |
|
|
I always carry at least two passports, as do my co-workers ... so you can have Israel stamp one book and the rest of the Mideast nations stamp the second one without seeing where you've been. It does wonders for long-term survival. |

So HOW do you get two of them? I have no plans to go to Israel or the Mid East, but I am curious..... |

The State Department's official stance is one passport per person.
Like all rules, there are exceptions. First, you need to be in a business or profession that will require you to travel widely and without significant security throughout the Middle East, and you need to be stationed in the region on a long-term basis. Second, you (or more commonly, your employer) needs to know exactly who to contact at State with the multiple-passport request, and provide documentation that doing so would substantially reduce your risk. The most common dual-passport holders are journalists, but there are select other professions which qualify. And that is all that I can post on an internet board. |

And Govt. Employees. I had a few too, for the same reasons you list. Certain ones for certain countries. Of course, I had the luxury of being able to throw them away and have them replaced whenever I got more that 3-4 visas in them. And that is just the ones with my real name on them. I had a real rainbow assortment , blue, green, red and black passports. |
