I’ve decided I want to shoot this classification for this upcoming season but I am not certain on one of the “rules.”

According to section 3.3.3 (h) Barrel Accoutrements/Devices – Standard, factory installed “flash hiders” are permitted. Competition-style muzzle brakes, compensa- tors, and barrel tuners are prohibited Suppressors are prohibited.

My conundrum is my current rifle is set up with a Dead Air Xeno flash hider, which is an “A1” style mount for my suppressor. Now obviously I can’t utilize the suppressor during the match but is it feasible that the mount would qualify as an acceptable muzzle device? Perhaps this is something I need to clarify with my local match director.

If the manufacturer says it's a flash hider, it's a flash hider. If it has other attributes, then it's up to your consideration for your neighbors.

Thank you for the clarification, that seems logical to me.

At Butner, I agree it’ll be like this as well.
