I've had an ethan allan recliner since 1999 that finally died to the point repairing isn't a good option any longer. time to buy a new one.

I got this thing on craigslist used. 25 years is a pretty good run for a $250 recliner.

I have a number of Ekornes around the house.  They are comfortable and can be easily moved around.

I had a lazy boy for 20 years. Replaced it last year. It made it one month past the warranty before failing. A few hundred dollars worth of parts shipped to me later I’m still waiting on a tech to come out and repair it. Love the chair but it’s definitely not built like my last one.

For a lot less money than the Ekornes "Stressless" look at the FJords line of recliners. Same quality construction, less money and can be found on sale. Ekornes runs fake sales, FJords allows the dealer to set the price.

ETA: I have the FJords "BO" recliner. See this site to get started.
