Is it better to have a 20 MOA mount/base and standard rings or standard mount and 20 MOA rings?

Getting ready to update one of my bolt guns but wasn't sure which way to go.  Thanks!

Thanks, that makes sense.  I was kind of thinking that having the 20 MOA base would also give you more ring options.

Also looking for recommendations on some good quality 20 MOA, Picatinny bases for the M700 SA.

Are Tally bases good to go?

The Seekins bases are excellent and have a built in recoil lug which many don’t and with little 6-48 screws they should really have. You can get them for around $75+ shipping if you show around.

The Talley bases don’t have lugs but they’re probably decent quality.
