Debating getting a longer rail or just keeping it sticking out the front. @steviesterno16 Got an update on what handguard(s) fit (or don't fit) over your mg7? I'm hoping to determine if the mg7 would fit inside my oem sig keymod handguard. |

View Quote @Morgan321 nah I haven't gone down that road enough to get an answer. The OEM canebrake is supposed to work but it looks like you can't use the m-lock slots if you have a fat-ass can. So I'd either need a pic top rail mount for my light or an extended thing so it's behind the can. Honestly it seems like I'd be spending ~$300 to maybe get my support hand a few inches out on an already short, low round count gun. Not sure it's worth the squeeze for me yet. |

View Quote I can tell you my sico hybrid does fit in the sig mlok handguard, but not if anything is mounted on the handguard via mlok. I'm in the same boat sort of, trying to find out if an mg7 will fit in the sig keymod handguard. Not cutting my handguard and don't want to buy a second handguard. |

View Quote The pick and pluck foam is garbage. And Pelican usually tries to sell the Kaizen alternative for exuberant amounts. However, if you go to Kaisensource, they sell the foam for about $15 a layer and it’s usually perfectly fit to the case. I’ve used it a few times with great results and am in the middle of setting up a case for my Spear using it. |

Haven't had time to shoot it. I just got a factory 4.5" barrel, so I may go back to the factory 8" HG. I'll try to do some measurements this weekend. |

I think it would be sweet on my rattler if my MG7k would fit it's fat ass in there @steviesterno16 It's Lancer's Carbon fiber handguards for Legacy uppers. 1.75in OD can is about the max you can stuff in there. You can get a carbon hg to fit on a Rattler upper but you would need Virtuous Concepts MCX XL XTN to bridge the gap. I tried a VC extension with a LT upper and I ended up just searching for the actual legacy upper it's supposed to mate with. There was too much side to side play. Being that the Rattler is even shorter than the Virtus/LT upper, I can only imagine that side to side being even more excessive. Imo, I wouldn't use the VC extension unless paired with a "metal" hg. All started with a mutt rattler. View Quote @2Keylows thanks but I have no idea what a MCX XL XTN means. I have a basic rattler I stamped and my mg7k is like 1.74" in diameter. Not a high round count gun and I can put the light on top pic rail so I don't "need" side slots but kinds wishing I went with a smaller can. |

It's the adapter piece needed to "bridge" the gap if your using a "legacy" rail with the Rattler upper. Your right. The Ir dot just clears. Definite splash on high lol. |
